John 'Joe' Johnson

John Joseph (Joe) JOHNSON
 
Born in Ardwick, Manchester in 1884, Joe had enjoyed a varied career at the likes of Grimsby, Carlisle and Millwall before arriving at Kenilworth Road in the summer of 1908.
Although preferring to play on the left-wing he proved extremely versatile and in his four years with the club played in just about every outfield position.
On leaving Luton he got his chance at playing back in the Football League with Clapton Orient, seven years after leaving Grimsby, and would wind down his career at Brentford.
