Mitchell Anthony THOMAS

Local boy Mitchell joined Luton Town from school and made his League debut at 18 in a 3-2 win at West Ham in December 1982. After earning a regular place in the Hatters top flight side during the following campaign the tall and elegant full back was looked on as a future England international and his standing was enhanced further when Steve Foster joined the Town and bullied him into even greater efforts.
Mitchell controversially left Luton in 1986 to join ex-manager David Pleat at Tottenham but came back to Kenilworth Road seven years later, via West Ham, this time in the Foster role!
After finishing his first class career at Burnley, Mitchell became a players agent.
